Some links on this site pay us a commission. Here is exactly when, how much, and why it doesn't change what we recommend.
The plain version
When you click certain links on MyDigitalAdda and buy the product within the partner’s cookie window, we receive a commission from the vendor at no extra cost to you. We disclose this in the affiliate notice at the top of each review and in this dedicated page so you can audit our incentives.
Which links are affiliate links?
Every affiliate link on a review or comparison page is tagged with rel=“sponsored nofollow”. We do not hide affiliate links behind plain anchor text. If a link is marked sponsored, it is an affiliate link.
Commission ranges
Commission terms vary widely between vendors. To give you a sense of where the incentives sit, our typical ranges by category:

Ranges, not specifics, because partner terms change and per-partner rates are confidential under most affiliate agreements.
How we keep commissions from biasing reviews
- Editor’s picks are decided before affiliate partnerships are negotiated. The review is scored on our published criteria first. Affiliate links are added after.
- We list and review products even when we have no affiliate relationship. Bitwarden (open source), self-hosted options, and no-affiliate AI tools all appear when they’re honestly the best fit.
- We do not adjust scores based on commission rate. Vendors who ask us to soften criticism, change rankings, or pre-approve drafts are declined and removed from future round-ups for that quarter.
- Negative findings remain. If a partner product has a real problem — a breach, a price hike, a regression — we publish.
If you suspect bias
Tell us. Email hello@mydigitaladda.com with the URL and the specific claim you think is biased. We respond within five business days and publish corrections with the date.
